Apple iPhone Sales in China Show Small Increase in April

So, get this, it looks like folks in China actually bought a few more foreign phones, like iPhones, in April compared to last year. Yeah, the numbers from this group called CAICT show that about 3.52 million foreign phones were shipped in April. That's just a tiny bit more than the 3.50 million from the year before. It's not a huge jump or anything, but still cool, right?

Now, Apple's a big deal in China, like, the biggest foreign phone maker. So, how their iPhones sell really makes a difference to these numbers. This bump in April is kinda interesting because Apple's sales in China were actually down by 9% in the first few months of the year. Oof.

Apple's been having a tougher time lately, facing off against Chinese phone companies. Because of that, they've even had to lower prices to try and keep up. Like, check this out, I saw that some online stores in China were offering pretty big discounts, up to like 2,530 yuan, which is about $351, on the newer iPhone 16s just this month. So maybe those deals are helping a bit? Idk, what do you think?
