Apryse Might Be Sold for Billions!

So, rumor has it, the folks at Thoma Bravo, you know, the buyout company, might be thinking about selling Apryse. Apparently, some buyers are interested in this document software company. We're talking a deal possibly worth over $3 billion! Wild, right?
I heard Thoma Bravo is working with some investment bankers over at Lazard to help with this. Sources are saying a bunch of other private equity firms are already showing interest. It makes you wonder, will they really sell? They might even keep a little piece of the company, maybe a minority stake, in any deal. But hey, nothing's set in stone yet, so we'll have to wait and see.
What is Apryse exactly? Well, they're based in Denver, Colorado. They make technology that helps developers build apps for phones and computers. This tech lets those apps create, change, and switch around digital documents. They can even put these features right into their own apps. Pretty cool, right? Their customers are some big names, like Novartis, Wells Fargo, and DocuSign. Just goes to show you they're doing something important.
From what I hear, Apryse is making over $100 million a year before stuff like interest and taxes. And get this, they're growing more than 20 percent every year! That's some serious growth. People are saying any deal could value the company at least 30 times that amount. That's a lot of money!
You know, Apryse used to be called PDFTron. It started way back in 1998 as a platform for document stuff. Thoma Bravo bought them in 2021, and one of their main guys, Hudson Smith, led that investment. Then, two years later, they changed the name to Apryse. The original minority owners and the company's management team are still involved, which is neat.
Since Thoma Bravo took over, Apryse has been busy. They've picked up nine other companies to make their software even better and reach more people around the world. Just this week, they announced they're getting a company from the Netherlands called TallComponents, which also works with digital documents. And last year, they got Lead Technologies, which makes software that uses artificial intelligence. It seems like they're really trying to grow!
