Apryse Up for Sale? Thoma Bravo Reportedly Exploring $3 Billion+ Deal

So, get this: it sounds like the folks at Thoma Bravo, you know, that buyout firm, are thinking about selling Apryse. We're talking a huge amount of money here, over 3 billion dollars! Apparently, some potential buyers have shown interest in this company that does document processing software. People who know what's going on said this on Thursday.
They're even working with investment bankers at Lazard to figure out the sale. The sources told us that other private equity firms are already interested. It's possible that Thoma Bravo might keep a small piece of Apryse if a deal happens. But, you know, these sources also said that a sale isn't set in stone, like, at all. They didn't want their names used cause they were talking about private stuff, which makes sense.
Thoma Bravo didn't want to say anything about it. And get this, Apryse and Lazard didn't even respond to Reuters when they asked for comments. Kinda makes you wonder, right?
Apryse, based out in Denver, Colorado, makes this tech for people who build apps for phones and computers. It lets them do stuff with digital documents, like making them, changing them, or turning them into different types. They can even add these features into their own apps. Some big names use their stuff, like Novartis, Wells Fargo, and DocuSign, if you look at their website.
The company is doing pretty well, making over 100 million dollars before all the boring financial stuff, and it's growing by more than 20% each year, according to those same sources. They think that if a deal goes through, the company could be worth 30 times what it makes or even more. Wow, right?
Apryse used to be called PDFTron, and it started way back in 1998, just doing document tech. Thoma Bravo bought it in 2021. The guy in charge of that deal was Hudson Smith. They changed the name two years later. Oh, and Silversmith Capital Partners and the company's management still own a bit of the business.
Apryse has bought nine other companies since Thoma Bravo took over. They did this to make their software do more cool stuff and reach more people around the world. They just announced buying this company called TallComponents from the Netherlands and last year they bought Lead Technologies, which uses AI. Pretty busy!
