Big Companies Are Talking About a New Chip Factory in France!

Okay, so get this. Some big names are teaming up to maybe build a new chip factory in France! We're talking about Thales, which is a French defense big shot, Radiall, they make connectors, and Foxconn from Taiwan, y'know, the guys who make a ton of electronics. They just started chatting about setting up a place to put chips together and test them out.
They said this factory would be all about something called OSAT stuff, which is just a fancy way of saying they'll handle the assembly and testing for other companies. And get this, they're hoping to make over 100 million of those 'system-in-package' units each year by 2031. That's a whole lot of chips!
Thales even mentioned that other European companies might join in too. They also spilled the beans on the price tag – it's gonna be over 250 million euros. Whoa! They didn't say exactly where in France it'll be or when they'll totally decide, but honestly, this could be a pretty big deal for Europe wanting to be more independent technologically. It's kinda cool to see these companies working together, right?
