China Tech Goes Homegrown for Chips

So, get this: China's big tech companies are apparently starting to use their own chips. Like, switching from the ones made by Nvidia and stuff.

Apparently, they're running low on those Nvidia chips, and the US is making it harder to get them too. This is according to the Financial Times, at least.

Companies like Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu are supposedly testing out different chips made right there in China. It sounds like they need them for all the AI stuff they're doing, and there's a lot of demand for that there.

I don't know, Reuters said they couldn't totally check if it was true right away, but it's interesting, huh?
