China's Tech Giants Go Local with Chips

So, check this out. China's biggest tech companies, like Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu, are starting to use chips made right there in China. Why, you ask? Well, it sounds like they're running low on those awesome Nvidia chips we hear so much about. Plus, the US is making it tougher to get them, you know, with all the export rules.

A report from the Financial Times – I saw that somewhere – said these companies are testing out locally-made chips to keep up with everyone wanting more AI stuff. Pretty interesting, right? I guess they gotta find a way to keep things moving. Idk if it'll be a totally smooth switch, but it seems like that's the direction they're heading in. What do you think about that shift?
