China's Tech Giants Looking at Homegrown Chips

Okay, so check this out. It sounds like the really big tech companies in China, like Alibaba and Tencent and Baidu, are starting to switch things up. They're apparently trying out chips made in China instead of, you know, the ones from places like Nvidia.

Why, you ask? Well, it seems like they're running low on the Nvidia ones, and also, the US is making it harder to get them. That's what the Financial Times reported anyway. They're saying these companies are testing out different options because everyone in China wants more AI stuff these days. I dunno for sure if it's all true, since Reuters couldn't confirm it right away, but it makes sense, right? It's pretty wild how the tech world is always changing, huh?
