Chipotle Exec Jack Hartung Joins Tesla Board

Hey, so guess what? Tesla is getting a new person on their board of directors and their audit committee. It's Jack Hartung, who's like a big deal executive over at Chipotle. He's joining up in June, which is pretty soon, right?

Adding Jack means Tesla's board will have nine members now. Remember how the last new person to join was Joe Gebbia from Airbnb back in 2022? Time flies!

You know, though, the Tesla board has been getting a lot of attention lately. Apparently, there have been reports that they might be looking for someone else to be CEO instead of Elon Musk. Just this week, they even put together a special group to look at how much Elon gets paid. Maybe that means he could get some new stock options, like a big bonus basically. Idk, it's all a bit up in the air.

Anyway, Jack Hartung is going to retire from his main job at Chipotle next month, which is President and Chief Strategy Officer. He's going to be a senior advisor there though, so he's not totally leaving. Before all that, he used to be the main finance and accounting guy at Chipotle, and he pretty much ran their strategy and supply chain stuff too. He's got a lot of experience, for sure.
