Elton John Slams UK Gov Over AI Copyright Plans

So, get this, Elton John is seriously not happy with the British government right now. He's basically saying they're stealing from artists by letting tech companies train AI on music and creative stuff without paying them properly. It's a whole thing, artists everywhere are trying to figure out the rules around AI being able to make its own art after learning from what's already out there.
Britain, you know, where the Prime Minister wants to be all big in AI, is thinking about making it easier for AI developers to just use anything they can get their hands on. The crazy part is, artists would have to actually say 'no, you can't use my work' to opt out. Like, how is that fair?
Big names in the music world, like Elton, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, they're all telling the government to rethink this. They're worried it's going to make it super hard for young artists to even make a living doing what they love. Elton told the BBC it feels like a crime and he feels totally let down. He said these machines don't have a soul or a heart like humans do when they create something to make people happy. He's sold tons of records and he's always tried to help out younger artists, so he's going to keep fighting this.
The government says they're trying to find a way for both artists and AI companies to do well. They're apparently looking into things and will only agree to something if they're sure it works for creators. Britain has always been pretty good with creative stuff, like theatre and music, with so many people working in those areas. So, what do you think about all this AI and art stuff?
