Guess What? Half of China's Big Trucks Might Go Electric Soon!

Hey, so get this! The big boss over at CATL, you know, the battery company, said something pretty wild. He thinks that by 2028, *half* of all the big monster trucks sold in China could be electric. Right now, it's only like, 10%, so that's a huuuge jump, right?

He said this at some event where they were talking about swapping batteries for heavy trucks. This news, which some Shanghai news site reported, kinda means less need for regular old fuel for these trucks. They're already using more of those LNG trucks, so this just adds to that whole thing, tbh.

Oh, and CATL also just opened up this massive factory up north in China. It's all about making batteries for energy storage and electric cars. They said they're gonna add even more to this place in the next couple of years. Like, it's gonna be this big battery hub worth billions of yuan. Crazy, huh?

Speaking of that area, Shandong province, they're actually trying to build a whole lithium battery scene worth a ton of money this year. They wanna make all the parts, from the stuff that goes inside the batteries to putting them all together. Saw that in some government announcement last year. Pretty ambitious, if you ask me!
