Impersonation Investigation Rocks White House Chief of Staff

Okay, so get this. Word on the street, according to The Wall Street Journal, is that there's an investigation going on because someone was pretending to be Susie Wiles. Yeah, you know, the White House Chief of Staff. Crazy, right?
Apparently, Susie told some folks that her personal phone contacts got, like, hacked. And because of that, this imposter got ahold of private phone numbers. Good thing it was just her personal phone though, not her work one. Phew!
The Journal reported that lately, senators, governors, big-shot business leaders, and other important people were getting calls and messages from someone saying they were Susie. Can you imagine? Both the White House and the FBI didn't really say anything when asked about it, so idk what's up with that.
This isn't the first time the White House has had issues with keeping info safe. Remember that hacker who got into the messaging thing used by Mike Waltz, the former Trump national security guy? Reuters said that hacker snagged messages from a bunch of American officials. Also, late last year, a White House official mentioned that the U.S. thinks a massive cyber spy thing from China, called Salt Typhoon, was trying to record calls of some really important American politicians.
With Susie being a super important person to Trump and a big part of how the White House runs things, anything on her personal phone would be, like, really interesting to foreign spy groups and, well, folks who aren't exactly friendly. Seems like hackers have gone after Susie at least once before too, back when Trump was running for president in 2024. At that time, hackers the U.S. says were working for Iran went to reporters and a political person with a bunch of messages Susie sent and got. Some of those even ended up being published. Wild.
