Microsoft's Russian Company Might Be Going Bankrupt

So, get this, one of Microsoft's companies in Russia is planning to like, go bankrupt. Yeah, it was in this official post on Friday. Microsoft hasn't said anything back yet about it, which is kinda weird.

Remember how the President over there, Vladimir Putin, just said this week that companies from other countries, like Microsoft and Zoom, should be like, slowed down in Russia? He wants them to make more room for local software stuff. Microsoft actually kept giving some important services in Russia even after they went into Ukraine in February 2022. But then in June 2022, they said they were gonna really cut back because the money situation changed and it was hitting their business there.

Before all that, right after the invasion, the big US tech company had already taken down the mobile apps for Russian state media like RT from the Windows App store. They also stopped letting those state media places run ads. The post on Friday pretty much said that Microsoft Rus LLC was gonna declare bankruptcy. The news agency TASS reported that Microsoft has three other companies in Russia too. They're called Microsoft Development Centre Rus, Microsoft Mobile Rus, and Microsoft Payments Rus. Idk how those other ones are gonna be affected, it's not clear yet.

It's kinda like what happened with Google's company in Russia back in 2022. They filed for bankruptcy 'cause the government took their bank account, and it made it impossible for the office there to even pay their workers, suppliers, and vendors.
