Revolut's Huge Investment in France

So, check this out. The British finance company, you know, Revolut? They just dropped some big news.
They're saying they're gonna pump, like, 1 billion euros, which is about 1.1 billion dollars, into France over the next three years. That's a lot of dough, right?! They wanna get bigger there and are even gonna ask for a French banking license soon. Pretty wild.
This whole announcement happened at that "Choose France" thingy, where President Macron hosts a bunch of investors. They said they're opening a new office in Paris, which is gonna be the hub for their Western Europe stuff. And get this, they're gonna create at least 200 new jobs in France. That's pretty cool for the job market over there.
Revolut is like, the biggest of all those cool money apps that popped up in the last ten years. They've got more than 55 million customers already, but no actual bank branches, which is kinda their thing. They just got their banking license in Britain in 2024, after waiting for three years. Phew!
They already have about 300 peeps working for them in France, by the way. And they mentioned that Lithuania is still gonna be a super important spot for their European growth. Seems like they're spreading out!
Apparently, this whole Choose France shindig is bringing in over 20 billion euros in investments, according to what Macron told a newspaper last week. Sounds like a good deal for France, tbh.
