Skyworks Gets New Interim Finance Chief

Skyworks Gets New Interim Finance Chief

Hey there! So, big news over at Skyworks Solutions, the company that makes chips for Apple, you know? They just named Robert Schriesheim as their temporary money guy, the interim finance chief.

This happened because the person they were expecting, Mark Dentinger, decided not to come aboard after all. Apparently, he was supposed to start as the chief financial officer on June 2nd, but unfortunately, he has a medical thing going on. So, Skyworks is now looking for someone to take the job for good.

Robert Schriesheim has been on the Skyworks board since way back in 2006, btw. He knows a lot about stuff like software, communications, and the chip world, among other things.

You might remember that just earlier this month, Skyworks actually said they expect their third-quarter sales and profits to be better than what the folks on Wall Street thought. This kinda shows that even with all the trade stuff going on, people are still buying their analog chips. They're predicting third-quarter revenue to be somewhere between $920 million and $960 million. The middle point of that is actually higher than the $922 million that analysts guessed. And they think their adjusted profit will be $1.24 per share for the quarter, which is also more than the $1.06 per share that the analysts were expecting. Pretty cool, right?
