Someone Impersonating White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles?

Okay, so get this. The Wall Street Journal just dropped a report saying federal folks in the U.S. are looking into someone pretending to be Susie Wiles. You know, the White House Chief of Staff? Yeah, that Susie Wiles.
Apparently, Susie told some people she knows that her personal phone contacts got hacked. And since the impersonator had access to that list, they were able to get private phone numbers. The report says it was just her personal phone though, not her work one. Phew, I guess?
According to the Journal, over the past few weeks, lots of important people like senators, governors, big shot business folks, and others have been getting messages and calls from someone claiming to be Susie. Can you imagine getting a call like that?
As of now, the White House and the FBI haven't said anything about it yet, so it's still a bit of a mystery.
Also, it sounds like the White House has had some issues with keeping info safe lately. Remember that hacker who got into the app Mike Waltz, a former Trump national security guy, used? Reuters reported that hacker stole messages from tons of American officials. And late last year, a White House official mentioned that they thought a huge cyber spy campaign from China, called Salt Typhoon, was trying to listen in on calls from really important American politicians. Wild, right?
Since Susie Wiles is a really key person for Trump and a big deal in how the White House runs things, whatever is on her personal phone would be like super interesting to spy agencies from other countries or just bad guys out there.
This actually isn't the first time Susie has reportedly been targeted by hackers. Back in the last few months of Trump's 2024 campaign, hackers that the U.S. says were linked to Iran apparently went to reporters and a political person with a bunch of messages sent by and to Susie. Some of those messages even ended up being published. Like, yikes.
