Someone Pretending to be White House's Susie Wiles? Feds Investigating

Okay, so you know Susie Wiles, she's like the main person running things at the White House? Well, get this. Federal folks in the U.S. are checking out this whole thing where somebody was pretending to be her. Yeah, seriously. The Wall Street Journal said this, and they talked to people who know what's up.

Apparently, Susie told her buddies that some of her phone contacts got, like, hacked. And whoever did it, they got into her private numbers and started acting like her. This was on her personal phone, by the way, not her government one. The Journal also mentioned that lately, tons of people, like senators, governors, and big business people, have been getting messages and calls from someone saying they were Susie Wiles. Wild, right?

So far, the White House and the FBI haven't really said anything about it. But, you know, the White House has had some issues with keeping information safe. Remember that hacker who got into the app that used to be used by Mike Waltz, who worked for Trump? That person snagged messages from a bunch of American officials. Yeah, that happened not too long ago. And also, late last year, someone from the White House said that the U.S. thinks this big cyber attack from China, called Salt Typhoon, was trying to listen in on phone calls from 'really, really important' American politicians. It's a whole thing.

Since Susie Wiles is a really key person for Trump and part of how the White House works, whatever's on her personal phone would be super interesting to, like, foreign spy groups and people who aren't exactly friendly. Apparently, hackers went after Susie before too, when Trump was running for president in 2024. At that time, hackers that the U.S. says were working for Iran went to reporters and a political guy with a bunch of messages from Susie, and some of them even got published. Pretty intense.
