Someone's Impersonating White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles?!

So, get this, apparently some folks are trying to pretend they're Susie Wiles, you know, the White House Chief of Staff. Federal guys are looking into it, according to The Wall Street Journal. Wild, right? Susie apparently told her buddies that her cell phone contacts got messed with, which let the fake Susie get her hands on private phone numbers. Good thing it was her personal phone and not her government one, at least that's what the report said.
The Journal also mentioned that lately, senators, governors, big business folks, and others have been getting messages and calls from someone saying they're Susie. Can you imagine getting a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be the Chief of Staff? Super weird. IDK what the White House and FBI had to say about it, they didn't get back to folks right away.
This whole thing isn't the first time the White House has had a little trouble with keeping info safe. Remember that hacker who got into the app Mike Waltz, a former Trump national security advisor, used? Reuters said that hacker snatched messages from tons of American officials. And late last year, a White House person said the U.S. thought some big Chinese cyber spying thing called Salt Typhoon was listening in on calls from 'very senior' American politicians. Yikes.
Since Susie is a pretty important person to Trump and runs a big part of what goes on at the White House, anything and everything on her personal phone would be super interesting to, like, foreign spies and other not-so-friendly people. TBH, she's been targeted by hackers before, apparently right when Trump was running for president in 2024. Back then, hackers who the U.S. said were working for Iran went to journalists and a political operative with messages Susie sent and got. Some of those even ended up being published.
