Tesla Robotaxi Tests: Ahead of Schedule?

So, guess what? Tesla's been trying out these self-driving Model Y cars in Austin, Texas. Elon Musk, you know, Mr. Tesla himself, said just the other day they're hoping to get the first one ready by June. That's pretty cool, right?
He actually mentioned earlier this year that they'd start with maybe 10 or 20 of these Model Y cars for their robotaxi thing. And now? He's saying they're a whole month early! He tweeted about it and said they haven't had any oopsies during testing. He used to say they wouldn't even *start* testing the robotaxis until the end of June. So yeah, big news!
Now, even though Elon didn't give a specific date for when you can actually hail one of these robotaxis, Bloomberg News reported that Tesla is aiming for June 12th in Austin. We'll have to see, I guess!
Speaking of Elon, he just announced he's leaving Donald Trump's administration. He was in charge of trying to make things run more efficiently, which apparently caused a lot of fuss and didn't quite save as much money as he hoped.
It's been a bit of a bumpy ride for Tesla lately. Their sales are down worldwide, and there's more competition popping up. Plus, Elon's getting some heat for his political views and working with Trump. So, lots going on! Maybe the robotaxi launch will give them a boost, who knows?
